Today, on August 26, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine announced on the broadcast of the tele-marathon #UAразом that according to the latest data, shelters are provided with more than 5% of Ukrainian schools.

A new school year starts in a week — and creating a safe educational environment in the conditions of war is now a common task of the state and local authorities and all participants in the educational process. The Ministry of the Interior is included in the preparation for the school year at once in several planes.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs actively cooperates with military administrations and balance keepers of educational institutions, providing them with all possible methodological support. Each educational institution of Ukraine, regardless of the form of ownership, has a responsible employee of the State Emergency Service, who is ready to provide methodological support and recommendations on safety issues,” Yevhenii Yenin said.

He also stressed that the work on the preparation of educational institutions for the academic year, which was determined by the President of Ukraine as a priority, is being actively carried out.

“Let me remind you that we started with a little more than 10% of the readiness of educational institutions for the school year. Today we have a little more than 50%, which cover more than 50% of students, students, preschoolers,” said the first deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In addition, Yevgeny Yenin noted that in order to prepare children for the challenges that war dictates to us, the Ministry of Internal Affairs developed a safety alphabet for schoolchildren, which was presented yesterday.

“This “Alphabet” provides basic recommendations for behavior in the most typical emergency situations related to the state of war: from responding to the “Air Alarm” signal to basic actions in the event of a chemical or radioactive hazard. And also covers the issues of bullying, compliance with the Rules of the Road. This is an extremely useful guide. And by the way, my children started this morning by studying it. Therefore, I advise everyone to read and use it,” the First Deputy Minister is convinced.

Recall that the “Security Alphabet” is available online on the official website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
