Yevhenii Yenin: Every Ukrainian can become a partner in the humanitarian exchange of Ukraine
The First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine spoke about the possibilities and results of using the application “Demining Ukraine” during the live broadcast of the all-Ukrainian tele-marathon #Uaразом.
The First Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs demonstrated several cases of successful disposal of explosive objects, carried out thanks to users of the application “Drainage of Ukraine”. In particular, he told about a defused armored shell, the photo report of the detection of which came from a resident of the Kiev region.
“The application is very popular: the number of applications is growing every day. And as of today, a week after the launch for the relationship, it was possible to defuse almost half a thousand explosive objects,” Yevhenii Yenin said.
According to Yevgeny Yenin, carrying out humanitarian demining of the territory of Ukraine requires a significant concentration of efforts of pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service, explosives technicians of the National Police and the National Guard, as well as the support of international partners, both in the form of special equipment and in the involvement of their specialized units. However, the Ministry of Internal Affairs is convinced that every Ukrainian can help speed up the process of demining.
“In order to speed up the demining of contaminated areas, we have developed a special application through which you can send photos, videos, or simply indicate information about the location of a suspicious object. Our pyrotechnic units respond as quickly as possible to all messages in relation to the relationship. Thus, each user becomes our partner in cleaning the territory from explosive objects,” Yevhenii Yenin said.
