Uniform register of weapons. Getting started
“June 23. This is one of the important deadlines that I have set publicly for myself and for the entire Ministry of Internal Affairs team. And we have done it: the Unified Register of Weapons (ERZ) is fully operational from today” - said the Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klymenko.
The main advantages of the ERZ implementation are that citizens will be able to easily obtain information about their registered weapons. In addition, thanks to the digitalization of services in the field of arms circulation, the procedure for obtaining permits will be simplified.
The Unified Register of Weapons also provides for the creation of an Electronic Cabinet. So Ukrainians will be able to get the service without leaving home, without visiting the National Police, by submitting documents through the “Single Citizen Window” or in a gun shop.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs has created additional channels of communication with citizens:

In the first three hours after the launch of the registry, more than 3.5 thousand gun owners were authorized in the Single Window for Citizens.
“People are actively interested: an average of 500 users visit the Single Window page at the same time. These data confirm the importance and long-awaited launch of the registry,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko wrote in his Telegram channel.
Almost 226,000 applications for various types of permits were submitted by Ukrainians through the Unified Register of Weapons. As of February 16, 2024, 225,977 applications have already been registered for the purchase, storage, re-registration of weapons, referral for commission sale, extension of the validity of the weapon storage permit, etc.
According to the results of their processing by law enforcement officers, more than 210 thousand decisions on the provision of relevant permits have been adopted. In total, for less than 8 months of operation of the registry, 58,703 users were logged in the Single Window of the Citizen.
