There are many brave, motivated people who are ready to defend the country and drive the enemy out of our land, - Igor Klymenko
Today, February 20, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko met with the heroes of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - servicemen of the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service, policemen and rescuers.
Each of them repeatedly risked his life, rescuing fellow civilians, defenceless civilians, repelling the attacks of the occupiers, ransacking territories and buildings, giving hope to anyone caught in the rubble after enemy shelling. They have literally gone through fire and water, and deserve to be role models and inspirations for those who want to understand what and how to do to stop the aggressor and cast him off Ukrainian soil forever.
“The leadership of the state and the Ministry of Internal Affairs treat you with great respect, with a great sense of gratitude to everyone who, with his work, his service, has engraved golden letters in the history of our country. Thanks to your work and service, all historical books about this era, which will be published in Ukraine and in the world, will be written,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs addressed those present.
Igor Klymenko also stressed that the recruitment campaign of the “Guard of Offensive” is actively ongoing. Many volunteers have already submitted questionnaires, passed to the qualifying stages.
“There are many brave, motivated people who are ready in the ranks of the assault brigades of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to defend the country and drive the enemy out of our land. But the very first thing that all of us, all commanders, have to take care of is the lives of people. We must protect them as much as possible, wherever they are — on the front lines, in hospitals, in captivity, those who are just called up or mobilized, who go into service under contract. And how we will do this depends on you — experienced workers, some of whom have been protecting our state from 2014-2015 directly on the front line,” said the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
