With the transfer of the police to a strengthened duty regime, the number of crimes decreased by 23%
At the same time, the number of citizens' calls to line 102 increased, but mostly they were informational or advisory in nature. This was discussed during the unity telethon #UAразом.
In his speech, the head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko said that the strengthened service regime is also an effective prevention of crimes.
In particular, the head of the department noted that in two days the number of citizens' appeals to the National Police increased from 49 to 53 thousand, but most of them were appeals of an informational or advisory nature. And the number of crimes in two days decreased by 23%: from 3,000 to 2,300.
“Also, the number of accidents decreased by 46 percent. For the first time in many years, yesterday for a country of 40 million, we did not have a single death as a result of an accident, the day before yesterday — one dead. If we compare with the previous week, we had 13 accident victims in two days,” said Igor Klymenko.
