Young migrant from Nikolaev handed amulets to Izmail guards
During the full-scale Russian invasion, many Ukrainians were forced to leave their homes. The south of Odessa region became a temporary shelter for migrants from Nikolaev, Kherson, Zaporizhia, Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
Children of internally displaced families, having met with servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine during trainings, talks and lectures, learned about interesting moments from the service of the guards, about their courage and dedication.
“These guys are incredible. I wanted to do something nice for them, something that would remind us of our support and gratitude. We know that our defenders are doing everything possible so that we can learn and later return to our homes. Ukrainians are a good and sincere nation. And Ukrainian fighters are the best warriors in the world!” - such words asked Sofia, a migrant from Nikolaev, author of patriotic amulets, to tell the guards.
The warriors received amulets with gratitude and joy.
“These amulets have magical powers. They feel the spirit of the Ukrainian people. The kind of support provided to us by the civilian population — I'm sure no one in the world has had before,” one of the guards said.
