The story of the pseudo-border guard Otshel, who after 27 years of service again took up arms and destroys the invaders (VIDEO)
Border guard Victor with the nickname Ottshel served in the army for 27 years. He took part in hostilities on the eastern borders of our state in 2014, and 2 weeks before the full-scale invasion was released into reserve. I planned a vacation, together with my family I went to visit my parents in Rivne region. The war changed plans and already on February 26, 2022, the man arrived in his native military unit.
In mid-March, the unit, in which the border guard was serving, went to the combat zone. The first heavy battle took place literally on the second day after the arrival of border guards in the village of Stepne. Further — retention of positions in n.p. Sweet Donetsk region and later — Maryinka. There, Othshel's unit defended the city from the Kadyrovites.
On April 9, 2022, Ottschel, while rescuing his wounded commander after tank shelling, received severe injuries himself. “Fifteen fragments were found in my body, three of them were left with me — for memory,” the border guard recalls. “War is scary. It was scary in 2014, no less scary now. But we must do our job with dignity for the future of our children.”
For the conscientious and successful performance of combat tasks, border guard Otshel was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine “Golden Cross”.
“Without the help of my brothers, I would have died. Therefore, immediately after the victory, I want to gather them all at the table, celebrate my award and thank everyone. There, at zero, I found real friends, now I will follow them anywhere,” adds the border guard.
