The story of the National Guard, who, being wounded for more than a day, held a position in the Luhansk region
Senior machine-gunner of the 50th Regiment named after Colonel Semen Vysochan of the National Guard Mikhail Selivanov held a position in Luhansk region for 26 hours with the wounded. Several brothers died at his hands.
National Guardsman Mikhail recalls his last rotation as very difficult. It rained, the uniform stuck to the body, shoes sank into the swamp, and all this under constant shelling. There was no real opportunity to even sleep, but the guys continued to hold the defense.
“I remember how at one point a drone flew up to us and dropped something from above. There was a comrade near me, he was shaken and he fell face down. I felt that my back was numb and bitter. I heard that my back was wet and I wanted to believe that it was not blood,” Mykhailo recalls.
Mykhailo told the Public about his injuries, combat experience and the loss of his comrades on the battlefield.
