Before the full-scale war in Ukraine with Russia began, Yevgeny Nebo was a photographer. His lens captured a wide variety of events: exhibitions, theatrical performances, model photo shoots. Especially close to him was theatrical shooting.

“I was in Kharkiv when the first military events began. I remember how the aircraft appeared in the sky above the city, the shelling and I make the decision to take my family to the west of Ukraine for their safety. And he himself was going to go to the front, to give his life to the defense of his country,” Nebo recalls.

So he became a volunteer and got into the National Guard, where he was trained. Later, Nebo was transferred to the 15th Slavic Regiment in Donetsk Oblast. His service was related to artillery, and he became a gun commander.

“The specifics of an artilleryman's service are working on firing positions, controlling fire, and working with various types of artillery weapons, including cannons and howitzers. My team consists of specialists who help carry out tasks efficiently and safely, usually between 6 and 10 people: gun commander, gunner, loader, shell fitter. Everyone knows their place and does their part of the work,” says Yevhen.

Currently, the guard is fighting in the Kreminsk direction. In his opinion, the war should end with the complete defeat of the Russian army.
