This was stated by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Inna Yashchuk during a meeting on the activities of military-medical (medical-expert) commissions of health institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, and operating within the NGU.

At the meeting, a number of issues were discussed on optimizing the activities of VLC health institutions belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, routes of passage of the VLC and accessibility for people with reduced mobility.

State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Inna Yashchuk said that the issue of digitization of military medical commissions remains a priority for the Government and the Ministry of Internal Affairs. According to Inna Yashchuk, this will help facilitate the maintenance of medical records and contribute to the faster passage of the VLC, which is especially important during the war.

“Many of the processes of civil medicine are digitized and we cannot stand aside, we have to implement it in the VLC. Also, in the context of the comfort of passing military medical commissions by our defenders, we have to take care of comfortable furniture, sanitary and hygienic rooms, means of information and navigation,” said the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

Inna Yashchuk said that the process of passing the VLC requires a lot of references and time, which is not always advisable in the conditions of war. It is to solve this problem that a single electronic database will be introduced.

In turn, the director of the Department of Health and Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anatoly Smyk said that the department understands all the problems of military medical commissions, in particular in the issue of references. According to him, digitization would be able to optimize the work of these commissions:

“When wounded defenders come to pass commissions, they are faced with the fact that a certificate of injury is required along with the performance of all official duties, and all the necessary documents are now in the unit commander. And all this affects the passage of the VLC.”

Representatives of the state enterprise “Infotech”, which are responsible for the digitalization of VLC, were also present at the meeting. There they said that they are actively working on a single electronic base.

Representatives of “Infotech” emphasized that the electronic database will speed up the process of passing the VLC and reduce the time for processing and analyzing medical information about candidates, which ensures more efficient and faster work of the military commission.

In addition, the electronic database allows the storage and processing of medical information about candidates, which facilitates the maintenance of medical records and contributes to a more accurate and convenient processing of this information.

It also announced the launch of an electronic queue for passing military medical commissions. Automation will allow you to adjust the queue to each doctor's office.

The meeting was attended by the heads of military medical commissions, who reported to the State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs on the work of the VLC and expressed their own proposals for its improvement. In turn, Inna Yashchuk instructed managers to prepare for the implementation of a single electronic database and work out all possible risks.
