Information about engagement of State Emergency Service units in settlements under fire from occupation forces
During the past 24hrs, in the area of the Joint Forces Operation, the SES units have made 17 interventions to prevent emergencies, extinguish fires and eliminate other dangerous events, during which:
prompt response to 16 dangerous events was provided;
6 fires were extinguished (5 in Donetsk oblast, 1 in Luhansk oblast), firefighters prevented fire from destroying the building;
6.6 hectares of territory were inspected and 1593 explosive devices were disposed of;
seven points of assistance to local population located within the entry / exit checkpoints along the contact line in the territory of Donetsk (Mayorske, Maryinka, Novotroitske, Gnutovo) and Luhansk (Zolote, Stanytsia Luhanska, Shchastya) oblasts provided assistance to 8 persons.
Consequences of shelling from occupation forces. During the recent 24hrs, there have been 74 cases of shelling in 39 settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts within the area of the Joint Forces Operation from temporarily uncontrolled territories, including: Donetsk oblast - 50 (Shumy - 2, Luhansk - 11, Starognativka - 7, Chermalyk - 1, Novohnativka - 2, Trudivske - 1, Svitlodarsk - 1, New York - 2, Pivdenne - 2, Myronivske - 2, Vodiane - 1 , Verkhnotoretske - 1, Opytne - 1, Hnutove - 1, Nevelske - 2, Granitne - 2, Granitne - 5, Hirnyk - 1, Krasnohorivka - 1, Maryinka - 1, Novohryhorivka - 1, Novotroitske - 1, Mykolaivka - 1, Novoselivka - 1, Zaitseve -1); Luhansk oblast - 24 (Bolotene - 2, Stary Aidar-1, Novotoshkivske - 2, Pishchane - 3, Troitske - 1, Nyzhne Teple - 2, Popasna - 2, Shchastya - 1, Zolote 2 - 3, Zolote 4 - 1, Lopaskine - 1, Lobacheve - 1, Artema - 1, Novooleksandrivka - 2, Stanytsia Luhanska - 2).
As a result of the shelling, 2 SES officers were injured. As a result of shelling of settlements the following damage was observed: Donetsk oblast - 9 houses. Luhansk oblast - 2 private houses and 1 administrative building of fire station (DPRCH-32).
Reference: Around 13.30hrs at the following address: Luhansk oblast, Shchastynskyi district, village of Artema, Mekhanizatorov street 29, another fire station (DPRP 59) with a crew of 4 people was dispatched to check information about a fire in an apartment after heavy shelling. Upon arrival, information about the fire was not confirmed. SES officers dismantled the slate and building structures. There were neither victims nor injured reported. No civilian casualties were reported. Six houses in the village were damaged. There were 3 personnel and 1 vehicle from SES engaged in intervention to assist the local population to do some works in 2 damaged residential buildings).
Other events. During February 18, 2022, as a result of damaged power lines following warfare activities 5 settlements lost electricity supply (total population 1 250) (Verkhnotoretske and Novoselivka Druha villages of Ocheretyn civil-military administration, Pokrovsky district; Vasylivka village, Starohnativka village and Trudove village of Volnovakha district).
In total (since February 17, 2022), as a result warfare activities there are 9 settlements without electricity supply (2 of them partially) in Pokrovsky, Volnovakha, and Bakhmut districts (total 1745 persons). Repair works will be carried out by representatives of REM JSC DTEK Donetsk Electric Networks after the regime of “silence” is coordinated and security guarantees provided.
