Simulated an accident and demanded money from drivers for “solving the issue”: Odessa police exposed the attackers
The attackers dragged the “victim” into a car accident in such a way that it looked as if she violated the rules of the road and damaged someone else's vehicle. In the future, it seems that the guilty driver was offered to “settle the guilt” by paying money.
So far, it has been established that the defendants were able to use two cars - a black “Mercedes-Benz S500L” and a gray “Volkswagen Passat”, having previously specially damaged the paintwork of the body parts on one of them.
The scheme looked like this: one car attached itself to the chosen “victim” during the traffic, trying to get into the “dead zones” of its mirrors in order to be invisible to the driver, and the second, meanwhile, moving ahead or sideways, drastically rearranged, provoking the “victim” to carry out a sudden and abrupt maneuver. In this way, an imitation of an accident was artificially created. In the future, persons who agreed in advance and in advance the “car basis scheme” pointed out to the “guilty” driver about damage to the car to which he was not really related, threatened to create further “problems” and offered to “solve the issue” on the spot by paying them money.
Also, the police note that in order to disguise the persons changed registration numbers on the vehicles, and to pressure and intimidate the “victim” — they dressed in business suits, creating a presentable external image, and represented themselves as employees of state bodies.
Law enforcement officers discovered and seized several sets of fake car license plates, sticky tape that individuals glued over certain letters on license plates, thus forming other letters, for example, I converted to T, and other items of interest to the investigation.
Police officers appeal to citizens who may have been victims of such illegal actions, as well as possible witnesses of such events, who recognized the specified cars or registration numbers that could be installed on the specified vehicles at the time of the “accident”, to report this to the special line “102”.
