Igor Klymenko visited the reconstructed medical and rehabilitation center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
Today, June 3, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko visited one of the medical and rehabilitation centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
Note that after major repairs, the rooms of the medical and rehabilitation center have become more comfortable, and the offices have been equipped with modern equipment.
The medical department after major repairs has also undergone changes. A “salt cave” appeared, repairs were carried out in the bathrooms, and the volume of services and procedures was increased.
In addition, with the help of the NATO Trust Fund, the center has organized a gym with modern exercise equipment, American rehabilitation equipment to restore physical activity after injuries and after a stroke.
Psychological rehabilitation has also undergone changes, now an audiovisual room and a room for psychological unloading and relaxation have appeared in the medical rehabilitation center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
There are also halls of art and occupational therapy. Thus, functional games, muscle tone training, coordination training, small correct movements training, sensitivity training and other skills training are used in the occupational therapy room to restore lost motor functions of the upper limbs.
“The rehabilitation system is very important for a country in which there is a war. You must constantly improve your professional level, because doctors play and will play one of the main roles in the post-war country. Therefore, it is important that there is feedback between patients and doctors,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko.
It is worth noting that the center takes care of people with disabilities, there are special ramps, handrails, and a freight elevator operates. Inclusive navigation is also installed at the entrance, including Braille. In addition, on the basis of the center there is a specialized minibus equipped with a device for embarking/disembarking passengers in wheelchairs.
They also care about the leisure of patients. On the territory there is a library, a place for table tennis is equipped, and there is also a lake with a beach.
“Currently, the issue of treatment and rehabilitation of our servicemen and workers is a priority of the Ministry. Of course, the medical services provided by such centers should be at a high level. In turn, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will contribute to this,” Ihor Klymenko stressed.
