The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko held an operational meeting with the command of the brigade “LUT” and talked with the fighters. This was reported by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in his Telegram channel.
“They are at the front. Side by side with the military they attack and stand on the defensive. They help civilians in virtually destroyed enemy frontline towns and villages. The police fight and care about the safety of the people. As much as possible in combat conditions. The mood is to violently destroy the enemy,” Igor Klymenko noted.
The Minister also visited the patrol police unit. The guards of this battalion serve in the front-line Kramatorsk and Slavyansk. Often they are the first to arrive at the scene of enemy strikes - rescuing civilians and helping to eliminate the consequences. And when other emergency services can not reach, they are always there.
“About 35,000 police officers are on duty in regions close to the zone of active hostilities and directly on the front lines. Their functionality has expanded much with the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia. But the goal remains the same: to serve and protect. Ukraine and people,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed.
