Igor Klimenko: Strategic directions of cooperation with Estonian colleagues were discussed during the consultation meeting in Vilnius
“In the framework of the consultative meeting in Vilnius, strategic directions of cooperation were discussed with colleagues from Estonia - I was pleased to welcome the Minister of Internal Affairs Laura Lianeemets. Our countries have a good tradition of cooperation, especially in the field of civil protection of the population. The Estonian Association of Rescuers helps to develop volunteer firefighter wives in Ukraine. In addition, 112 people are actively involved in the process of expanding the emergency care system in our state. Ukrainian specialists in Tallinn have adopted the experience of Estonian colleagues,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko wrote in his Telegram channel.
An important point of negotiation is humanitarian demining. The Estonian side purchased a mechanized demining machine for pyrotechnic calculations of the SNS. And also in the summer, Ukrainian rescuers received another set of equipment for underwater demining.
“I thank our partners from Estonia for their help to Ukrainians and a firm position of support for our state,” the Minister said.
