This was emphasized today, March 13, by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko during a working meeting with the Minister of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland Michal Dvorchyk.

During the visit, Polish colleagues handed over individual first aid kits, medical kits and turnstiles for the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

First of all, Igor Klymenko thanked the partners for their extraordinary support and development of constructive cooperation. Also, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted the significant contribution of the Polish government to the confrontation of Ukraine against the armed aggression of the Russian Federation:

“It is Poland that provides us with the moral and material support that allows and allowed us to survive in the first months of the war. Through Poland, 80 percent of humanitarian and military aid enters the territory of our state.”

The main attention of Polish partners, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine focused on the formation of 8 special brigades “Guard of Offensive” to strengthen defense.

“The newly formed units must undergo appropriate training, after which they will participate in the counteroffensive. However, there is a question in providing the “Guard of the Offensive” brigades with the necessary equipment and medical needs, which is the most important component of the formation and training of our defenders, since the saved lives of our fighters are the greatest value for us,” Ihor Klimenko stressed.

He stressed that today all measures taken by the ministry are aimed at stopping the enemy and starting a counteroffensive.

Some topics of discussion were work on de-occupied territories, humanitarian demining, documenting war crimes committed by the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine and protection of the state border.

For his part, the Minister of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Poland Michal Dvorchyk announced his readiness to join in providing the brigades of the “Guard of Offensive” with medical needs.

“Poland supports Ukraine and will continue as long as it takes time and resources,” Dvorchyk assured.
