Igor Klymenko: We have enough strength to respond in a timely and effective manner to the change of situation
The Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko in an interview with Ukrinform spoke about the readiness of the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs as part of the Defense Forces to the existing and possible threats from Russia.
“After the large-scale war began, the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are constantly in a state of combat readiness. The war itself forces us to be in this state every day to respond quickly to the change of situation,” the minister said.
Igor Klymenko added that most of the forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are either in the combat zone or in the de-occupied territories — because there are 3-4 times more jobs than in the rest of Ukraine. At the same time, practical training is conducted directly on the de-occupied territory or on the demarcation line of the front.
“We have enough forces to be able to respond in a timely and effective manner to any change in the operational or military situation on our territory,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed.
