“Today, at 4:30 in the morning, the enemy launched a missile strike on Uman. One of the missiles hit a residential nine-story building. In this house, the first entrance is practically destroyed. According to preliminary data, 109 people lived in this entrance, 46 apartments, of which 27 were completely destroyed,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko said at the scene.

Emergency and rescue work is currently underway. About 300 people work on site. These are rescuers, police and communal services.

“At this moment, we have seven people dead, six people have been removed from under the rubble, one citizen has died in the hospital. We also rescued 17 people from under the rubble, three of them children. At this time, 9 of them are in the hospital. Investigative and operational teams and reinforced forensic laboratories are already working at the scene,” the Head of the Department said.

Rescuers are currently conducting an apartment bypass of the surrounding houses.

“About 10 multi-storey buildings have been damaged and damaged and we have to enter each apartment to verify that there are no injured or dead people. Therefore, the whole complex of works has been organized,” added Igor Klymenko.

Dog trainers also work at the scene. In addition, a headquarters is organized, which is headed by the head of the OCA and the leadership of the SBU of the Cherkasy region. The police are assisting the Security Service in documenting this war crime.

Previously, an X-101 missile hit the high-rise building.
