Ihor Klymenko: "Cooperation with Czech colleagues in the area of combating crime is one of the most dynamic among European countries"

Today, the Governments of Ukraine and the Czech Republic signed an agreement on cooperation in combating crime and maintaining public order and safety. Ihor Klymenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, has shared the news in his Telegram channel.

"Cooperation with Czech colleagues in the area of combating crime is one of the most dynamic among European countries. Since the beginning of this year alone, the police agencies of Ukraine and the Czech Republic have had more than 2,000 interactions", - highlighted the Minister.

He mentioned that Ukraine and the Czech Republic are successfully implementing the Cyber Security project and participating in the Ukrainian Task Force, established on the basis of EUROPOL with the view to preventing human trafficking.

According to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the previous agreement reached between our governments in this area was signed more than 25 years ago. Over this time, legislation has changed and new law enforcement agencies have been introduced.

"The updated Agreement ensures cooperation in the areas of crime prevention, detection and combating. It enhances the process of information exchange and response to the challenges faced by our countries. We are strengthening cooperation, combating crime, and ensuring safety in our countries", - concluded Ihor Klymenko in his publication.
