This was reported by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko on the air of the “United News” telethon. He also added that along with residential buildings, since the beginning of the full-scale invasion by Russian missile strikes, more than 60 thousand objects of general infrastructure have been destroyed.

The Minister stressed that in those cities where there were the greatest consequences of enemy missile strikes, the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs system did everything to make our citizens feel safe. In particular, he noted, they were able to get help at points of indestructibility, as well as from rescuers and policemen, who are the first to arrive at the scene to eliminate fires, rescue people from rubble and promptly document war crimes together with SBU staff.

Igor Klymenko said that currently 66300 criminal proceedings have been registered for the commission of crimes by Russian servicemen.

“Most of them — 80% — are violations of the laws and rules of warfare,” the minister stressed.

According to him, the investigating police document these crimes and transfer them to the SBU for further investigation and bringing Russian war criminals to justice.

In addition, the documents documented by the police, the minister added, are transferred to the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, which on their basis prepares the mothers for the courts of international instances.

“Materials are being prepared for them, so that later international courts will consider these cases regarding the commission of war crimes on the territory of our country,” Ihor Klymenko noted.

The Minister thanked journalists and citizens who help the police in documenting war crimes of Russians.

“The latest shelling, which took place in our country on March 9, showed that our citizens and our journalists are already writing about this not in the public, but reporting on line 102 to the National Police. And I am grateful to every citizen, bloggers and journalists for the fact that we have learned to listen to each other, that we have learned to resist the enemy in this way,” Ihor Klymenko summed up.
