Igor Klymenko about the traitors-exponents — they must live in fear
This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko in an interview with Natalia Moseychuk, which is timed to the second anniversary of the beginning of a full-scale war.
When asked by the journalist whether he had a video from the network, how in Mariupol the police took the oath of the Russian Federation, the Minister answered in the affirmative. But at the same time, he drew attention to the fact that former militia and police officers, who were dismissed even before the full-scale war, swore to the aggressor state, and already among them were the policemen active at that time.
“To say that I hated them, I can't say. This is... it's useless for the country. Unnecessary, which does not deserve even our emotions,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs shared his inner feelings about traitors.
Igor Klymenko acknowledged that Ukrainian law enforcement should draw conclusions.
“And they (traitors) must remember and be afraid all the time. When we return these territories, we will reach them. They have to live in fear. I want them to live in fear — those people who betrayed the oath and who betrayed the country,” the Minister stressed.
At the same time, he noted that in the ranks of the National Police there were those who took the oath, but honestly said that “I have a sick mother and I put a certificate, a token, a weapon, I made such a decision.”
“I can understand humanly here. But only humanly. But there is a law,” said Igor Klymenko.
He added that this (responsibility before the law) applies to all those who remained in the Crimea in 2014, who in the same year remained in the territories of the occupied Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts and those who remained after February 24, 2022 in the territories that were subsequently occupied by Russian troops.
