Igor Klymenko: The feat of each of you is inscribed in the history of our great state
This was emphasized by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine during the award ceremony of the soldiers of the National Guard, the State Border Service, the National Police and the rescuers of the State Emergency Service.
At the beginning of the event, the participants jointly performed the National Anthem of Ukraine and honored the memory of the deceased brothers with a minute of silence.
Thus, for their personal courage, courage, steadfastness and determination in the performance of military and official duty in conditions associated with the risk to life during measures to ensure national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the laureates received the Order of Bohdan Khmelnitsky II, III degree, “For courage” II, III degree, Danylo Halytsky, medals “For military service to Ukraine” and departmental incentive awards of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “Firearms”.
“You represent the best part of our country that is wounded, that suffers from these wounds, but holds fast and fights for its freedom, despite the fact that we have a strong enough enemy. The invaders are trying to rewrite our history, but thanks to your exploits they will not succeed. Looking into each of you in the eyes, I want to say that the state and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are proud of each and every one,” said the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko.
The Minister of Internal Affairs stressed that it is the fighters of the National Guard, the State Border Service and the National Police of Ukraine together with other military who perform tasks in the combat zone and carry out stabilization measures in the de-occupied territories. And the employees of the State Emergency Service are among the first to leave for the fires and destruction caused by missile strikes of the Russian Federation.
“Of course, we expect our big win. We have a huge task ahead of you — to rebuild our state, both physically and mentally. We must build up our security and defense forces so that no enemy will ever attack us again. And the whole world should know that there is a Ukrainian nation that is able to overcome any enemy,” said Igor Klymenko.
During the award, the Minister of the Interior gave the floor to the fighters who managed to go through the most difficult moments on the front and are currently undergoing rehabilitation.
“It is a great honor for me to be here, next to my brothers who saved me. If it weren't for you, I would have died. Best wishes to all of us Victory and Glory to Ukraine,” said Major Andriy Solomonyuk.
In attendance, the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine congratulated those present on St. Nicholas Day and wished the soldiers good health and return to their relatives as soon as possible.
