Igor Klymenko: NGU units continue offensive actions in Melitopol direction and deter enemy in other areas
“Units of one of the National Guard's operational brigades advanced about 650 meters deep into the enemy defenses, one and a half kilometers along the front and entrenched themselves on the busy border in the Melitopol direction. On it, the guards continue offensive actions as part of the strike groups of the Defense Forces,” the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko wrote in his Telegram channel.
The Minister also added that in the Mariinsky and Berdyansk directions, the designated forces and means of the National Guard maintain the boundaries of defense. In the Kupyansk direction, the forces and means of the National Guard securely hold the occupied borders, and special purpose units continue to conduct air reconnaissance.
In addition, Igor Klymenko noted that in the border areas of the Sumy region, the National Guards carry out measures in order to expose the intentions of the enemy DRG in advance and prevent their activities on our territory, and in the Kherson direction the units of the National Guard continue to carry out humanitarian demining activities, actions and perform other tasks to support the actions of the Defense Forces.
