Igor Klymenko: Units of the “Guard of Offensive” carry out effective assault measures
The Minister of Internal Affairs told about this in an interview with Censor.net.
Igor Klymenko stressed that the fighters of the National Guard, the Border Service and the National Police perform successful tasks at the front together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“These people came voluntarily, they, risking their lives, go into battle every day. And I will say this: as the Minister of the Interior, I am not ashamed of our volunteers who have gone to fight. These are people who defend the state and liberate our territories,” the head of the department said.
When asked by a journalist about the future disbandment of the “Guard of the Offensive” brigades, Igor Klymenko replied that this will not happen until the complete de-occupation of Ukraine:
“There will be no armed forces in the de-occupied territories, there will be units of the National Guard, the border service and the police. These people, who have experience in combat operations, should perform the functions of stabilizing the situation in these territories and upholding the law in these territories.”
In turn, the Minister of Internal Affairs promised every soldier of the “Guard of Offensive” proper social protection, treatment, rehabilitation.
“Unfortunately, we are losing people. We replenish our units and lose again. Our people who will return from the front after the war will be the same fighters, our heroes, our pride, as all the military. And, of course, they should receive proper social protection,” said Igor Klymenko.
