Igor Klymenko to international partners: Your help is the key to our victory and saved lives
This was emphasized by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko during a meeting with representatives of the Governments of the Czech Republic, the Kingdom of Denmark and the Netherlands.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs thanked the partners for the previously provided military assistance, because the fighters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs make up more than 20% of the Security and Defense Forces of Ukraine and take direct part in hostilities. Also, Igor Klymenko recalled the prompt assistance provided by the countries during the elimination of the consequences of the subversion by the occupiers of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
“It is important for us that you are with us in such a difficult time. After all, the war with Russia requires us to make quick and decisive decisions in order to preserve the country,” said Igor Klymenko.
Ales Vytečka, Director of the Intergovernmental Agency for Defense Cooperation of the Ministry of Defense of the Czech Republic “AMOS”, said that joint work together with the Governments of Denmark and the Netherlands helps to quickly implement defense projects aimed at helping Ukraine:
“I am very glad that colleagues from other countries joined our meeting to see for yourself all your needs. The cooperation of our three countries is above all speed and instant response to your needs. We have taken this responsibility and are ready to continue to implement it.”
The Chairman of the working group from the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Siimen Rinke Vouda, assured of further support for Ukraine. According to him, the Government of the country is ready to provide official Kyiv with all necessary assistance until Ukraine needs it:
“The main goal of our visit is to jointly develop ideas for your further victory. At the heart of our activities is the speed of response. We have great respect for you and understand that time is human life. Thanks to our cooperation, we are speeding up the process and looking for ways to build support for your country. We hope to hold the same meeting soon in the de-occupied Ukrainian Crimea.”
Deputy Director of the Department of the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom of Denmark Dennis Virkelist said that his country is interested in both the short-term and long-term needs of Ukraine.
“We have come together to strengthen our cooperation in the form of providing you with even more military assistance. The main goal of our activity is not PR, but a joint effort to win,” said Dennis Virkelist.
For his part, the Minister of Internal Affairs noted the fruitful work of international partners and their assistance in arming the units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs participating in hostilities.
“The Ministry of Internal Affairs understands perfectly all the needs of the fighters for 2024. Therefore, constant contact will facilitate our cooperation, and you will always promptly receive information about our needs,” Ihor Klymenko summed up.
