Igor Klymenko: We are all doing one big thing — bringing our victory closer
This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko during the ceremony of awarding police officers, national guards, employees of the State Emergency Service and border guards with state awards and departmental honors.
Thus, for their personal courage and courage, steadfastness and determination in the performance of military and official duty in conditions associated with the risk to life during measures to ensure national security and defense, repulse and deter armed aggression of the Russian Federation, the recipients of the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytsky II and III degree, “For Courage”, the Order of Daniel Galitsky and the medals “For Military Service to Ukraine” and “For Life Saved”.
In addition, the awardees were awarded departmental incentive awards of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine “Firearms”.
At the beginning of the ceremony, the participants jointly performed the National Anthem of Ukraine and honored the memory of the deceased brothers with a minute of silence.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko thanked each representative of the police, the National Guard, the State Emergency Service, the border guard for the service that brings Ukraine's victory closer every day:
“For 15 months, a large team of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, together with the Defense Forces and the Ukrainian people, has done everything to bring our victory closer. And along the way, we are taking steps that allow us to become stronger. Steps that allow us to look with optimism and faith into tomorrow.”
The Minister of Internal Affairs stressed that it is the fighters of the National Guard, the State Border Service and the National Police of Ukraine together with other military who perform tasks in the combat zone and carry out stabilization measures in the de-occupied territories of Ukraine. And the employees of the State Emergency Service are among the first to leave for the fires caused by missile strikes of the Russian Federation.
“We have a great team that we are proud of. Every soldier, every general and every officer is a participant in the great feat of the Ukrainian people. The way every citizen of Ukraine treats you demonstrates an incredible level of trust, and this is your merit for your daily dedicated service,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
The head of the department assured that the state appreciates every fighter and will continue to help them:
“Everyone who gave part of their health for the benefit of our country will not be forgotten, as well as the families of the fighters,” Ihor Klymenko summed up.
