Igor Klymenko: Each exchange is the result of long negotiations and painstaking work
Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko noted that 24 National Guardsmen, 20 of them women, and 22 border guards returned home today. The vast majority of our liberated heroes are the defenders of Azovstal.
He also added that defenders on their native land sang the National Anthem - happiness, from which he catches his breath. This song is loud in the heart. Because such are the sincere emotions of 46 servicemen of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine released from captivity.
The Minister stressed that each exchange is the result of long negotiations and painstaking work.
He also thanked Volodymyr Zelensky and all those involved: “I thank the President of Ukraine, the head of the President's Office, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War for being in our homes.”
