This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko in an interview with RBK-Ukraine.

Igor Klimenko said that currently the priority of the department is the formation of units of the “Guard of Offensive”, which will liberate our country from Russian invaders.

Also a priority is the work of all units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, which ensure the safety of citizens throughout the territory of Ukraine — both in frontline and peaceful regions and carry out stabilization measures in the de-occupied territories.

The Minister of Internal Affairs stressed that the Ministry's team and interaction with the Office of the President help him in everything:

“To form such a number of units from scratch with so many volunteers is routine work. And it is controlled by the President, the Head of Office and Deputy Heads. Because the armament, the logistics, the problems that we faced in the early days, with the formation of these units — they require joint teamwork. Our only priority today is to win a large-scale war with Russia.”

According to Igor Klymenko, at present it is necessary to do everything possible so that the Security and Defense Forces of our state win in the shortest possible time.

The Head of the Department also spoke about another priority of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine — the fight against corruption:

“It is also a priority in peacetime so that those units that, among other things, detect crimes, those units that ensure public order, that guard the border and perform service services, are cleared of possible manifestations of corruption.”
