Igor Klymenko: “Guard of the offensive” will consist of the best among the most motivated
About this yesterday, February 22, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klymenko said during a speech at the Congress of local and regional authorities with a speech on the formation of the “Guard of Offensive” — assault brigades of the National Guard, the State Border Service and the National Police, as well as on the interaction of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with local and regional authorities regarding the creation of such brigades.
“4,332 applications have been submitted to the “Offensive Guard” through the CNAPs and more than 16,000 applications have been recorded. More than 15,700 volunteers left their questionnaires on the site. On average, 788 such applications were received daily,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.
According to him, they choose the best from among the most motivated, because the tasks facing these units will require high professionalism.
The Minister noted that, given the number of people willing to join the brigades, it is possible that the creation of new ones will be initiated in the future.
At the end of the speech, Igor Klimenko thanked the representatives of local and regional authorities, who actively participated in the selection process and contributed to the recruitment to the Guard of Offensive.
The extended meeting of the Presidium of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities under the Head of State was held on behalf of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
