“When I joined the army, I dreamed of becoming a dog trainer. The dream came true,” — a guard about service with a four-legged partner
Even before his service, Andriy Homa managed to study as a veterinarian. Having signed a contract with the National Guard, he wanted to become a dog walker. The command went to meet the guy.
Andrei chose a partner for a long time and finally settled on a shepherd named Rainar. Subsequently, both went to specialized courses in one of the educational institutions of NGU. After receiving new knowledge, skills and relevant documents, Andriy and Raynar returned to their unit. The dog trainer trains his dog every day and trains himself.
“In relations with a dog, it is necessary to show who is the main one, but it is necessary to treat him not as property, but with respect - as a partner,” says Andriy.
Today, he and Raynar are fully ready to fulfill the tasks assigned to them and plan to further develop professionally in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine.
