How to defuse Russian mines, types of mining and rules for handling explosive objects — training of the Spartan team
In Kharkiv region, the soldiers of the reconnaissance company of the Spartan brigade undergo engineering sapper training. Guardsmen acquire skills in mining, use of mines, explosives and master the conduct of engineering intelligence.
“We have classes on the neutralization and removal of mines, such as tank and anti-personnel mines, prohibited by the Geneva Convention, but used by the enemy. And general practical classes on engineering, on the removal of stretch marks. We considered one of the most dangerous shrapnel mines — the OZM-72, a pressure mine. The history of this mine dates back to the First World War. The basis of this mine is that it “swims” and detonates at a height of up to a meter,” said the scout Cardan.
The guards learned how to properly defuse these mines, how to behave correctly on the mined square, what actions and movements to take in order not to blow themselves up and not to put their lives and the lives of the group at risk.
Anti-personnel landmines and shrapnel mines, anti-tank mines, cluster munitions and improvised explosive devices are an incomplete list of what servicemen most often encounter during tasks. Anti-tank mines are often buried in the ground or left on the surface, anti-personnel mines are buried in the soil or camouflaged in a tree. Often, mines are combined with each other and in the event of an explosion there is practically no chance of survival. The Russian military has repeatedly used prohibited ammunition with a timing mechanism, installed explosive devices in household items, cars and inside residential buildings.
Recall that the guards of the Spartan brigade are a specific component of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. They are professionally destroying Russian invaders on the eastern borders and desperately fighting for the will and sovereignty of Ukrainian lands.
