How to properly evacuate from a car? New edition of the project “Doctor's Advice”
Cars at the front are often called consumables, because they are used in the most dangerous areas. Tasks are different: from the usual transfer of fighters to positions to the evacuation of the wounded. Often this transport is under fire, and servicemen can get injured.
Military medic, paramedic of the 27th Pechersk Brigade of the NGU, instructor of the European Resuscitation Council and the American Heart Association Alexander Korniychuk “Biker” showed and explained the rules for evacuating the injured driver from the car.
It seems that this is a simple task, but even such a trifle as opening a car can cause additional trauma to the injured person, because an unconscious driver will simply fall out of the vehicle. That is why it is worthwhile to be ready for this and have time to hold your brother with your hand. And this is just one of the tips that can significantly increase the chances of saving lives.
The speed and correctness of actions when helping the wounded is of paramount importance, in particular, the imposition of turnstiles, bandages and, in general, the completion of the first aid kit of the fighters.
“You will have one, maximum two minutes to evacuate the injured person as far as possible, carry out an examination and stop the bleeding. Therefore, the speed of your actions will depend on the speed of your actions,” said Oleksandr Korniychuk, a paramedic of the 27th Pechersk Brigade.
