How to check the readiness of documents online
Have you applied for an ID card or passport to travel abroad? Remember: you can always check the readiness of your documents. How? Just use the online service on the DMS website — “Checking the status of documents” (https://dmsu.gov.ua/services/docstate.html)).
First, enter the series and document number in the search. Next, you will see information about the readiness of your passport.
Note that with the help of the service you can check the status of such documents as:
— passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad;
— ID-card, temporary residence permit; — permanent residence permit; — permission to immigrate to Ukraine;
— extension of the period of stay in Ukraine.
You can check the readiness of the document from the next day after submitting the application to the territorial unit of the DMS.
Please note:
— a series of passports in the form of a booklet is entered in capital Ukrainian letters, and birth certificates — as indicated in the document itself; — if the series of birth certificate begins with 1 or I, the database may have one of three spelling variants: number 1, Ukrainian letter I, Latin letter I
— depending on the one entered by the operator during registration; — series and number of the document of a foreigner or stateless person — enter without punctuation marks — periods, commas, dashes.
We remind you that you can issue an ID-card or passport of a citizen of Ukraine for traveling abroad, regardless of the place of registration in any territorial division of the Migration Service, SE “Document” or CNAP.
