The military man devoted almost six years of his life to the border department.

“My father and uncle once served in the ranks of the border guards. They talked about the peculiarity of the border agency, that the border guard is a prestigious profession. Therefore, after graduating from medical college, I did not think for a long time where to go,” says the border guard.

The man has a medical education. For five years he worked in the intensive care unit at the Central Clinical Hospital of the State Border Guard Service. When the full-scale invasion began, the man moved to one of the military units in the Kiev region.

Subsequently, as part of the consolidated detachment “Doc” left to the north, and then to the east of the country. The most difficult for him on the front line were the thoughts of losses among the personnel. Fortunately, the group where “Doc” served returned fully, but they had to provide assistance and use their medical skills, because there were also wounded among the border guards.

During one of the attacks by the occupiers of the positions of Ukrainian defenders, a splinter flew into the armored plane of the “Doc” itself. “Then the first thing I thought about was that I was born in a shirt,” the border guard recalls.

If the trajectory of the shrapnel shifted slightly, the man might not survive.

Most of all, Doc dreams of Victory and finally go on vacation with the whole family — 2-year-old son and wife. When asked if he is ready to continue defending the country in the zone of active hostilities, he answered:
