“I am a volunteer”: Ukraine presented the concept of an innovative security platform
Lviv State University of Life Safety under the chairmanship of the People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleg Bondarenko held an outbound meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Environmental Policy and Environmental Management on the topic: “On the state of functioning of voluntary and local fire protection”.
Within the framework of the meeting, a seminar was held on the development of units of voluntary and local fire protection.
The meeting was attended by the People's Deputies of Ukraine from among the representatives of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Environmental Policy and Environmental Management, the leadership of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, the heads of the relevant departments of the State Emergency Situations Service of Ukraine and the heads of the Main Departments of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the regions, as well as representatives of the executive bodies government, higher education institutions and IT companies.
The meeting discussed the improvement of the legislative framework in the sphere of organization and functioning of local and voluntary fire protection. One of the issues on the agenda was the presentation of the concept of the alert and response system “I am a volunteer”.
The idea of this system is to create an innovative platform to organize and coordinate the actions of socially active citizens who are ready to join the elimination of the consequences of extraordinary events according to their specialty. This is an extremely important and necessary initiative for today, which has been operating in foreign countries for a long time.
During the discussion, the participants discussed the main stages of system development, possible variants of its architecture, ways of attracting members of voluntary formations to the system. According to the results of the meeting, a plan for further cooperation within the framework of the implementation of the alert and response system “I am a volunteer” was agreed.
