The guards destroyed two groups of Vagnerites, which consisted mainly of former prisoners of the Russian Federation
This was announced today, on October 27, during a briefing on the situation at the front, the results of the performance of combat tasks and law enforcement functions by units of the National Guard, Acting Director of the Department of Application Planning of the Main Directorate of NGU Mykola Urshalovych.
The National Guard of Ukraine together with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other components of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, despite the superiority of the enemy in manpower and weapons, provide reliable protection of the state from the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. During this week, soldiers of the NGU inflicted fire damage on enemy positions, destroyed its life force, equipment, attacked command posts, and also shot down several unmanned aerial vehicles.
“On October 23 and 24, in the Bakhmut direction, two groups of Vagnerites, consisting mainly of former prisoners, under the cover of artillery carried out offensive actions on the positions of the NGU. But these “gentlemen of luck” did not take into account that the fighters of the operational brigade named after the Hero of Ukraine Sergey Mikhalchuk have slightly different views on the re-education of the occupiers from bad to good. Therefore, these groups were destroyed, and two people were taken prisoner. They were former Russian citizens imprisoned for serious crimes (robberies and murders), who signed a six-month contract with a private military company and were sent to conduct hostilities on the territory of Ukraine,” said Mykola Urshalovych.
He also reported that last week the soldiers of the Dnieper Brigade named after Alexander Radievsky “landed” with the help of the REB the Russian reconnaissance drone “Griffon-12” in the Donetsk direction. This drone, designed to conduct reconnaissance and video surveillance at a range of up to 90 km with a flight time of up to 3 hours, can be equipped with both a photo/video camera and a thermal imager. Previously, our soldiers repeatedly “landed” reconnaissance and attack drones of the occupiers also in Kharkiv and Luhansk region.
Artillery units of the National Guard provided fire support to units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces in the Bakhmut and Zaporizhzhya directions. Completed 146 fire missions to destroy enemy manpower, firearms and equipment.
Nikolai Urshalovich also noted that the work on the preparation of units of the National Guard for the winter period is being completed. Guards prepare fortifications and fortifications, take measures to ensure heating, create conditions for cooking and household issues in conditions of low temperatures.
“Separately, I would like to note that the personnel is equipped with a winter uniform and heating means in the field at 100%,” the speaker emphasized.
To ensure the sustainable operation of military units and units of the NGU, to ensure the performance of tasks and functions in conditions of power outage, the necessary sources of backup and autonomous power supply are provided.
