The guards of the Slavic regiment donated more than 30 liters of blood for the needs of the hospitals of Slavyansk
Today, February 11, servicemen took part in a charitable donation of blood for medical institutions of Donetsk region.
Despite the wave of new coronavirus infection, doctors continue to fight other diseases. Many patients are in urgent need of blood transfusions, but due to pandemic restrictions, there are not enough donors.
More than 60 National Guardsmen decided to donate blood to hospital patients in an organized manner. Many donate blood not for the first time - the personnel of the 3035 military unit hopes that such an initiative will help save someone's life.
“It is impossible to stay away when many people need blood for life. We have the ability to help people, and we do it, of course, not for the last time,” says doctor Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Fedotov.
Each serviceman before the procedure for collecting blood and its components underwent a mandatory laboratory examination, in particular for the presence of antibodies to coronavirus infection, and also underwent an examination by a therapist. Donors donated 450 g of blood. In total, more than 30 liters of blood were collected.
The servicemen plan to continue to participate in the action to help patients in Donetsk region.
