Law enforcement officers sent the case of two Russian soldiers to court. We are talking about the 29-year-old and 32-year-old senior snipers of the rifle company of the 15th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade of the 2nd Guards General Military Army of the Central Military District from Samara. During the occupation of the Kiev region, they committed sexual violence against 12 local residents.
During passport checks, Russians purposefully identified houses in which young women lived. After that, they broke into their homes and sexually assaulted them under the threat of firearms.
The occupiers were indifferent to their age and condition. Among the victims are a pregnant woman, a five-year-old child and two other minor girls, born in 2004 and 2007.
In March 2023, law enforcement officers informed the occupiers of a suspected violation of the laws and customs of war, committed according to a preliminary conspiracy by a group of persons and combined with cruel treatment of civilians (Part 2 of Art. 28 part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The indictment is sent to the court for consideration on the merits. Occupiers face up to 12 years in prison.
