A citizen of Uzbekistan in Kiev helped recruit Ukrainian women for the provision of intimate services in London

At the end of April, the border guards of the Main Operational and Search Department of the Separate Check-and-Pass “Kyiv” together with representatives of the Migration Police of the city. Kyiv has blocked the international human trafficking channel.

Through this channel, Ukrainian women were subjected to sexual slavery abroad. Then the organizer and co-organizer of the crime — two Bulgarian citizens — were detained at the Shegini checkpoint.

For their own enrichment, under the pretext of employment abroad, the merchants organized a criminal scheme on the territory of Ukraine, which consisted in the selection, recruitment, facilitation in crossing the border and in the subsequent involvement for the provision of intimate services in the city of London women from low-income families aged from 18 to 30 years old.

Foreign organizers searched the Internet for their future victims. Ukrainians were offered a salary of 1,000 US dollars.

The other day in the capital, border guards, together with the Migration Police, conducted searches in another co-organizer of the international human trafficking channel. He was a citizen of Uzbekistan born in 1995.

The man was hiding abroad for some time. At his residence, law enforcement officers discovered and seized mobile phones, SIM cards and a laptop that could be evidence of illegal activity. Yesterday he was given a precautionary measure - round-the-clock house arrest for 60 days.

Criminal proceedings initiated under Part 2 of Art. 149 (trafficking in human beings) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are ongoing. For the committed deed, there is a penalty in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to twelve years.
