Chinese citizen offered bribe to speed up border crossing

Recently, a group of foreigners arrived at the Starokozache checkpoint, on the border with Moldova, with the aim of entering Ukraine.
During passport control, one of the passengers, a Chinese citizen, decided not to waste time and offered the border guard a monetary reward of 5,000 hryvnias to speed up the crossing of the state border. Border guards did not agree to such an illegal proposal and reported this fact to the National Police.
Now a 50-year-old foreigner faces criminal liability under Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Offer, promise or provision of unlawful benefits to an official”.
