The Chairman of the Supreme Court got acquainted with the educational and scientific activities of DonDUVS
On February 10, 2022, a delegation of the Supreme Court headed by Chairman Vsevolod Knyazev arrived at Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs with a working visit. The delegation also included judges of the Supreme Court Yevgeny Petrov and Olga Stupak.
The purpose of the visit was a meeting of Vsevolod Knyazev with students and scientific and pedagogical workers.
At the beginning of the meeting, Rector of DonDUVS Serhiy Vitvitskyi presented to the guests the achievements of the team in various areas of functioning, outlined the priority directions of development of the educational environment of the University, introduced the guests with the material and technical base of DonDUVSS. Particular attention was paid to the dynamics of growth over the past two years, close relationship with practical units, support of Mariupol City Council, introduction of the latest technologies in the educational process, traditions of training scientific and pedagogical staff, patriotic education of young people. He noted that the university is now the most powerful institution of higher education with specific learning conditions in the East of Ukraine.
The Chairman of the Supreme Court highly appreciated the work of the team, the development of the material and technical base and the created conditions for training. Addressing the students, he spoke about the peculiarities of the functioning of the Supreme Court, the importance and significance of the profession of judge in modern society, the possibility of students to build a professional trajectory in such a way as to become judges. Vsevolod Knyazev noted that the success of the future career is laid during his studies:
“Despite the difficult time in Ukraine and, in particular, in the Donetsk region, the university has created all the conditions for obtaining high-quality education so that you become professionals in your chosen field. The main thing is to make efforts to get the result,” the chief judge of the country addressed the students.
The participants of the event also spoke about strengthening the practical component, as the main condition for ensuring the quality of higher education and mandatory components of educational programs for all educational levels, and, as a result, the formation of competitiveness of graduates of DonDUVs.
The result of the meeting was an agreement on the involvement of judges of the Supreme Court in conducting classes at the university, for the training and certification of highly qualified personnel, holding a competition for education applicants, the winners of which will have the opportunity to visit the Supreme Court and get acquainted with its work. These and other areas of interaction should be provided for in the Joint Memorandum of Cooperation between the Supreme Court and Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
After the meeting for the highly respected delegation, they took a tour of the main building of the university.
