Rescuer hero: Anastasia Golubova saved a drowning child (video)
Every year, Ukraine celebrates the winners of the All-Ukrainian action “Rescuer Hero of the Year”. It was introduced on the Day of the Rescuer, which is celebrated on September 17. Thanks to this action, ordinary citizens who showed courage and heroism during the rescue of people, property, the elimination of fires, accidents, emergencies, natural disasters receive honors.
The action takes place with the participation of the President of Ukraine. This year, the winners of the All-Ukrainian action “Rescuer Hero of the Year” were seven residents of different regions of Ukraine.
One of the winners is 16-year-old Anastasia Golubova - a pupil of the Volyn regional lyceum with enhanced military-physical training named after the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. The girl saved the child from death.
On June 13, 2023, Anastasia pulled a 5-year-old boy from the pond, who drowned.
“I saw that the boy fell into the water. A friend tried to pull it out by holding out a stick. I realized that all this was in vain and jumped into the water,” Anastasia recalls. The girl provided him with first aid, carried him home in his arms, and then a small ambulance.
Two days later, the boy was at home.
