Law enforcement officers liquidated a large-scale scheme of evading mobilization in the Vinnytsia region. The scheme was organized by doctors and officials of the military-medical commission. The

57-year-old doctor of the regional medical and diagnostic center established a scheme for evading mobilization.
More than 10 participants were involved in the “work”. The defendants offered military personnel to collect a package of fictitious medical documents on unsuitability for military service with the subsequent possibility of traveling abroad. The cost of such a diagnosis was from 3 to 10 thousand dollars.

The price of services was affected by the time and complexity of the diagnosis.

The organizer of the scheme helped his “clients” to get to his accomplices, among whom were officials of the regional VLC. After the meetings, the latter gave fictitious diagnoses to men with a conclusion of temporary unsuitability for military service. Thanks to this, evaders were able to freely leave the borders of Ukraine. The attacker was detained on August 25 while receiving an illegal benefit in the amount

of $3000. During the searches, the detainee seized money obtained by criminal means, documentation, draft records and computer equipment.

The services of the accused could be used by more than 200 conscripted men. The 57-year-old detainee was informed of suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 3 of Art. 332 (Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The issue of additional qualification of the suspect's actions under Part 2 of Art is also resolved. 368 (Acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation continues. Currently, the police and the SBU establish accomplices of crimes and persons who “acquired” fictitious diagnoses.
