Specialists of the State Emergency Service conducted special training “Rescue Days Ukraine 2023”
In order to increase the level of professional training of SNS specialists to respond to the consequences of traffic accidents, special training “Rescue Days Ukraine 2023” was held in the Carpathian region. Such training in Ukraine took place for the fourth time, but for the first time these exercises were held at night, in order to acquire the skills of rescuers to work in special conditions and with limited lighting.
The training combines theoretical knowledge with practical training of various locations related to the most difficult traffic accidents. 96 professional rescuers from 20 regions of Ukraine and foreign instructors took part in the exercises. Cadets of higher educational institutions of the State Emergency Service and representatives of voluntary fire units from Ivano-Frankivsk region also took part in these exercises.
Participants were taught how to eliminate the consequences of accidents, work with modern special equipment and rescue the injured, because there is also a technique on which rescuers can practically work out all the necessary actions to save people in an accident.
Also during the exercises, various samples of the latest fire-rescue equipment and equipment of domestic and European models were presented.
The participants of the training worked out 4 training locations:
• “Accident with a car overturned on the roof”; • “Accident with a side impact of a car”;
• “Accident with a car hitting the trailer of a truck”;
• “Accident with a frontal collision of passenger cars”;
Every year, more than three thousand people die on the roads of Ukraine, and more than ninety are injured every day, so it is very important to respond effectively and quickly to eliminate the consequences of traffic accidents.
Such training is extremely effective for Ukrainian rescuers, as it gives them the opportunity to learn how to use new emergency and rescue equipment in their practical activities and apply the latest methods of rescuing people.
