The SNSS has launched a new emergency notification system: notifications come even with minimal communication
Already from November-December it will be possible to talk about the operation of the system in full force.
“On September 7, we started testing a new alert system using mobile phones. It works by transmitting information through the service communication channels of mobile operators - using the networks of mobile operators, their base stations, we send messages to subscribers who are in the area of operation of mobile stations. The biggest advantage of the system is that notifications come with minimal mobile communication. Also an important element is the instant delivery of messages,” said Roman Primush, Deputy Chairman of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Mobile operators — Vodafone, Live and Kyivstar helped to establish the system. The Association of Mobile Operators, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Digital Resources also worked on the launch.
