The State Emergency Service of Ukraine received 6 robots for remote demining of territories
Another batch of technical assistance was received by the SNS from the Government of Canada. We are talking about the new robotic complexes DIGITAL VANGUARD-S, which will help Ukrainian pyrotechnics to defuse explosive munitions in settlements.
DIGITAL VANGUARD-S was transferred to pyrotechnic units of Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhya regions and sappers of Luhansk garrison, which are currently operating in Kherson region. As well as the Mobile Rescue Rapid Response Center, the Interregional Rapid Response Center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the 2nd Special Center for Rapid Response of the SNS.
Currently, 30% of the total area of the state is potentially dangerous. Given such volumes, the new equipment will help sappers to conduct remote reconnaissance and defuse munitions faster and with less risk to health and life.
Thanks to the wireless and wired connection, robots can work up to 5 hours and perform a variety of tasks — remotely destroying explosive objects or surveying the terrain.
It should be noted that DIGITAL VANGUARD-S has three installed cameras, thanks to which the operator monitors the manipulations, receives in real time a clear and high-quality image of the place of work.
Such technological capabilities allow him not to approach close to explosive objects. And thanks to its small dimensions and maneuverability, robots can be used in hard-to-reach places.
Reference: Since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine, 450 thousand 998 explosive items and 2 thousand 892 kg of explosives have been defused, including 3 thousand 122 aircraft bombs. The territory with an area of more than 107 thousand 920 hectares was surveyed.
