The State Emergency Service warns of rising water levels on the rivers of Ukraine from April 20 to 22
The water level rise will be observed on the Dnieper and Desna rivers. Initial flooding is also possible at Kremenchuk, Kamensky, Dniprovsky, Kakhovsky reservoirs.
During April 20-22, it is expected to pass the maximum level of the waterfall on Desna near the village. Makoshyne with a height of 740-750 cm above the zero of the post (water level at 8 o'clock on April 20 was 737 cm) with subsequent flooding of floodplain, territories of a number of villages, flooding of villages with water and disruption of transport connection with river settlements in Koryukovsky, Nizhyn, Chernihiv districts of the Giv region, with the initial flooding of household plots and possibly individual houses in the Koryukovsky district of the Chernihiv region (II level of danger - orange).
April 20-21, due to the passage of the spring waterfall through the Kiev hydroelectric power plant, on the river. Dnipro in the city. In Kyiv, Vyshgorod, Brovary and Borispol districts of the Kiev region, flooding of floodplains will be maintained and partial flooding of low-lying areas of garden and suburban development, personal plots in a number of riverine settlements will be observed (II level of danger - orange).
On April 20-21, due to the passage of the spring waterfall through the reservoirs of the Dnieper cascade, flooding of floodplains and lowland areas in a number of settlements will be maintained:
- at the Kremenchug reservoir in the Cherkasy region (III level of danger - red);
- on Kremenchuk, Kamensky, Dnipro reservoirs in Poltava, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk regions (II level of danger - orange).
Initial flooding of floodplains at Kakhovsky reservoir in a number of settlements in Zaporizhzhya, Dnipropetrovsk and Kherson regions is possible (II level of danger — orange).
