DPSU: Moldova introduces new entry rules from today
Since January 17, 2022, in accordance with the Decision of the National Emergency Commission on Health (CNESP) of the RM, new measures have been introduced to prevent and combat COVID-19 infection, including when crossing the state border to enter the RM.
In Moldova you can enter:
- by the Vaccination Certificate in the Diya Annex; - by a paper certificate from the Diya portal with a QR code;
- with a WHO paper certificate (yellow certificate) issued by the family doctor;
- on the basis of a negative PCR test taken no more than 72 hours, made in the laboratory from the approved list; - on the basis of a negative result of a rapid test for the antigen to the SARS-CoV-2 virus, made not earlier than 48 hours;
- confirmation of the presence of antibodies to COVID-19, which is valid for a period of 90 days from the day
conducting research.
Additional PCR test upon arrival in Moldova is not required.

Since January 17, 2022, in accordance with the Decision of the National Emergency Commission on Health (CNESP) of RM N1 of 13.01.2022, new measures have been introduced to prevent and combat COVID-19 infection, including when crossing the state border to enter the Republic of Moldova:
1) Crossing the state border to enter the Republic of Moldova is allowed with the provision of one of the following documents:
— certificate (certificate) of a full course of vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus (currently all vaccines are recognized in Moldova without exception). Proof of immunization is valid if at least 14 days have elapsed after the completion of the full schedule of vaccinations. The certificate (certificate) must be provided in one of the following languages: Romanian, English, French, German, Italian or Russian;
— a negative result of a PCR test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, carried out no more than 72 hours, or a certified negative result of a rapid antigen test for SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, carried out no later than 48 hours before landing, for persons traveling by public transport, or before entering the territory of the Republic Publications of Moldova for persons travelling by own transport; confirmation must be provided in one of the following languages: Romanian, English, French, German, Italian or Russian;
— a confirmatory medical report in relation to persons who have contracted COVID-19, between the 15th and 180th day (within the last 6 months) or confirmation of the presence of antibodies to COVID-19, which is valid for a period of 90 days from the date of the study. Documents must be provided in one of the following languages: Romanian, English, French, German, Italian or Russian.
2) Persons who do not meet the conditions provided for in paragraphs 2 and 3 are obliged to observe a quarantine regime (self-isolation) for a period of 14 days. Such persons must fill out an electronic epidemiological card (https://fisa-covid.gov.md/), as well as sign a declaration of their own responsibility for observing the self-isolation regime for 14 days in designated places. In the case of minors under 14 years of age, the epidemiological card and the declaration of self-responsibility are completed and signed by the legal representative or accompanying person. Individuals who are in self-isolation mode can discontinue this regimen after day seven if they do a PCR test for COVID-19 or an express test for SARS-CoV-2 and the result is negative.
3) Exceptions to paragraphs 2 and 3 are the following categories of persons if they do not have clinical signs of respiratory infection or fever:
- children under 12 years old;
- students/students under the age of 18 who have to pass exams, go to study in educational institutions in the Republic of Moldova or abroad, or who travel for the purpose of participating in international competitions or Olympiads, with the presentation of supporting documents, as well as persons accompanying them; - crews and maintenance personnel of aircraft/vessels, as well as crews and maintenance personnel of railway trains, drivers and maintenance personnel of freight vehicles and passenger motor vehicles, which
carry out transportation on a paid basis, have more than 9 seats, including the driver's seat;
- persons making the trip for reasons related to health or for humanitarian reasons, including the person accompanying (with the presentation of supporting documents); - cross-border workers entering the Republic of Moca Moldovans from Romania or Ukraine, as well as from the Republic of Moldova, working with economic agents from the said countries who can confirm contractual relations with the relevant economic agents;

holders of diplomatic, service, official and special and other equivalent passports, as well as Laissez Passer travel documents issued by the United Nations, including family members of diplomatic and consular missions and international organizations/missions accredited in the Republic of Moldova and/or persons involved in the provision of humanitarian assistance; - persons traveling through Moldova in transit (are on the road no more than 24 hours from the moment of registration of entry into the RM).
The transit route is established by the border police;
- persons who are summoned to the courts or law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Moldova, as well as their legal representatives with the presentation of supporting documents.
