IDP certificate for foreigners: how to get a document
More than 150 thousand foreigners are registered in Kyiv and the region. In order to be legally on the territory of Ukraine, they need to have the legal grounds and to draw up the relevant documents in a timely manner.
The Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine of 01.10.2014 No. 509 “On the Accounting of Internally Displaced Persons” is in force. According to it, a foreigner or a stateless person who has left the temporarily occupied territory, as well as moved from the territory of the administrative-territorial unit in which the fighting takes place, has the right to issue a certificate of an internally displaced person.
Currently, in order to obtain an immigration permit to Ukraine, a permanent or temporary residence permit, to extend the period of stay in Ukraine or to be recognized as a stateless person, foreigners can apply to the territorial body of the State Migration Service at the place of actual residence, which is confirmed by the certificate of the internally displaced person.
