Life imprisonment for cooperation with the enemy
Investigators of the National Police sent to the court an indictment against a 48-year-old resident of the Kalinovskaya settlement community of the Beryslav district, who during the temporary occupation equipped places for the dislocation of the enemy and helped them move through the territory of the community bypassing the Armed Forces.
Evidence of criminal activity of the defendant was collected by the investigative department of the organization for the investigation of crimes committed in the conditions of armed conflict, the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine under the operational support of the SBU.
During the pre-trial investigation, it was established that the attacker publicly supported the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and in March 2022 brought the crew of the damaged Russian armored personnel carrier to Kakhovka, bypassing the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He also showed the Russian military where patriotic local residents lived, who had hunting weapons and could resist the invaders. Together with the invaders under threat of massacre, he withdrew weapons and ammunition to her.
After the de-occupation of the settlement at the place of residence of the accused during the search, the police seized explosives and ammunition.
The investigators collected evidence of the guilt of the detainee, who is currently under arrest and sent to the court the indictment under Part 2 of Art. 111 of Ukraine (Treason committed under martial law) and Part 1 of Art. 263 (Illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
For committing these crimes, the defendant faces punishment in the form of life imprisonment with confiscation of property.
